What is the highest level of arborist?

The master arborist or board-certified master arborist credential identifies professional arborists who have attained the highest level of arboriculture. The highest level of certification for arborists is often referred to as a Board Certified Master Arborist (BCMA). This certification is offered by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), which is a globally recognized organization for arboriculture professionals. This credential is the highest level of certification offered by the ISA, which recognizes ISA-certified arborists at the peak of his profession.

In addition to passing an extensive scenario-based exam, candidates must comply with a Board-Certified Tree Master Code of Ethics. Less than two percent of all ISA-certified arborists currently hold this certification.
